Harmonious Balance is achieved one person at a time through doing the necessary individual work of achieving balance physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Unlike the notion of work-life balance where balance is the desired outcome, balance across these four areas provides the input for the harmonious outcomes we desire in our lives. When we have harmony in our lives, we are living our best lives. When we are living our best lives, we are fulfilled. We don’t feel shortchanged and threatened. Because we don’t feel shortchanged and threatened, we are more inclined to show up as as our better selves. When we show up as our better selves, we are more inclined to accomplish the greater good. And thereby creating a better world for all of humanity to thrive.
So in a nutshell, Harmonious Balance looks like living our best lives, being our better selves and accomplishing the greater good.

Johanna Smith is an engineer turned career coach turned founder of the emerging wellness ideology, Harmonious Balance. Johanna holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and MA in Counseling. Her industry experience includes 10 years in the automotive industry and over 15 years in higher education.
Johanna was born and raised in Gary, Indiana in a household of seven as the fourth born of five children.
